The physical New York Zendo is closed until after labor day.
Daily and Saturday sitting on Zoom remains the same, all periods are covered there.
Our current COVID policy is that you must be fully vaccinated. Mask-wearing in the zendo is optional.
Zazenkai is a day of continuous sitting without Dharma talks, dokusan, oryoki, or chanting. Beginning at 10AM we will sit thirty minute periods of zazen followed by ten minutes of walking until 6PM. You may come to as much or as little as you want and you are encouraged to go for walks in silence around the neighborhood or sit a few periods in Central Park. Because this retreat involves tending to your own needs - leaving for lunch when you're hungry - it's a great opportunity for beginners to explore more intense forms of practice.
