Won Dharma Q&A

ABOUT SESSHIN

Annual extended sesshin is an opportunity to deepen our practice, to gather the extended sangha, hold ceremonies and experience the beauty of the Hudson Valley. This year, three students will be receiving the precepts in a Jukai ceremony. The retreat be hosted by the Won Dharma Center in Clavernack, New York and be led by both Barry Magid and Karen Terzano. More information about the space and location can be found on their site here - https://wondharmacenter.org/

THREE TIERS OF PAYMENT

Financials should not be a reason to miss this retreat. For each rooming option there are three rates of payment - a base rate, a supporting rate, and a sustainer rate. Rather than request a certain level of financial support or scholarship, please look at the costs and determine which fits with what you're able to afford. If additional help is needed beyond this just reach out to Barry at bmmagid@gmail.com.

TWO TRACKS OF PRACTICE

During the retreat there will be two schedules - a more traditionally intense sesshin with more sitting time - led by Karen Terzano, and a no-gain sesshin with more unstructured time that Barry will follow. If you do the more rigorous schedule, you can still have dokusan with Barry. Closer to the retreat you'll be asked to commit to one schedule. You can do either track regardless of when during the week you arrive.

Registration is closed for this event. If you need to register please contact contact@ordinarymind.com.
Please be aware that refunds are not possible beyond this point.
